Job description

FTE: 1.0 FTE (Full Year Position)


Job Goal: 
Performs administrative and secretarial support necessary to accomplish objectives established by the Director of Student Learning. Presents a positive image in contacts with parents, community, staff and students.
Qualifications:  



  • Completion of training in administrative assistant training program preferred.
  • Previous administrative assistant experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate skilled knowledge in job related software (Excel, Word, Skyward, etc.)
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to compose correspondence independently.


This position requires, but is not limited to the following:
 

  1. District Office receptionist, greet visitors and primary phone contact for District Office inquiries.
  2. Organize and manage routine work activities for the Student Learning Department.
  3. Welcome and enroll new students/families to the School District of Ashland.
  4. Recruit, schedule and coordinate substitute training.
  5. Support Director of Student Learning with the implementation of the summer school program.
  6. Complete state/federal required reporting requirements. (Pupil Count, EASIE, etc.)
  7. Other duties as required.
