Job description

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

The purpose of the Professional Development Program – Training track, is to provide a year-long in-depth training. This program cultivates future Training Specialists through exposure to various departments and develops long-term leadership skills within the Training and Quality Assurance Department. This learning experience is designed to strengthen technical expertise, instructional ability, and foundational leadership skills. Participants will gain exposure to multiple departments, assist in facilitating training, and engage in diverse work assignments with various leaders and teams. The goal is to empower participants to lead by example, uphold a positive and professional work environment, and demonstrate readiness for advancement into a long-term career.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Learning and Development

  • Build and demonstrate proficiency in core skillsets and services offered at RRMS.
  • Observe team members and identify key characteristics that contribute to department and business success.
  • Shadow multiple departments to develop a comprehensive understanding of operational processes and training expectations.
  • Understand the core function of each department and how it aligns with company goals.
  • Develop familiarity with internal and cross-department communication channels.

Training and Leadership Exposure

  • Support the facilitation of training sessions and assist with classroom preparation, documentation, and evaluation.
  • Participate in project coordination, scheduling assistance, and progress tracking.
  • Engage in leadership development exercises focused on mentoring, communication, and initiative.
  • Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and confidentiality throughout all assignments.

Performance and Program Overview

  • Understand the core function of the trainer’s role and its purpose.
  • Successfully complete assigned department tasks, projects, and objectives.
  • Meet all program milestones and submit a final readiness presentation to the Training Manager.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, facilitate, and motivate others.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative, reliability, and accountability.
  • High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret feedback to identify training opportunities.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  • Associate degree or equivalent military experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant customer service experience.
  • Previous experience in training, coaching, or leadership development.
  • Reliability and schedule flexibility, including availability for evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to obtain required state security licenses and certifications.
