As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as a key technical partner to sales teams and customer accounts, applying moderate to advanced technical expertise to support more complex applications and drive sales growth. Independently manage projects of moderate complexity, contribute to strategic account development, and may lead team-level initiatives with minimal supervision. Accountable for defined territory or set of strategic accounts, strengthening customer relationships while influencing technical decisions and sales outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Provide advanced technical application support for complex and custom product applications.

  • Independently troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of field issues, including onsite support when required.

  • Develop solutions for unique or special applications, including detailed design input, submittals, drawings, and special pricing recommendations.

  • Proactively analyze bid opportunities, plans, and specifications to influence product positioning and roadmap within assigned markets.

  • Develop, lead, and conduct product and application trainings for representatives, customers, and internal teams both onsite and offsite.

  • Manage and influence growth for intake targets for assigned strategic accounts.

  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives within the team that enhance efficiency and customer experience.

  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing actionable insights to sales and product teams.

  • Build strong, consultative relationships across sales channels, customers, and internal teams.

  • Participate in industry events, customer meetings, and association activities to strengthen relationships and industry presence.

  • Lead team or cross-functional initiatives and projects with minimal supervision.

  • Apply working knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliant and competitive product recommendations.

  • Lead and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and sales team on execution of product marketing toos and demonstrations including development of messaging, content updates, and experience improvement.

  • May mentor other Sales Engineer team members or cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance.

  • May have direct reports and formal supervisory responsibilities.
