Position Profile

Weaver is looking for talented tax leaders at the Manager level to join our growing firm! A Tax Manager works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development and firm administration activities, including training and mentoring less-experienced team members. The ideal candidate is a CPA with 5+ years of experience in corporate tax / ASC 740 at a public accounting firm.  

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA with 5 + years of experience in public accounting, industry experience, or a combination of both
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax / ASC 740
  • Technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in a variety of industries

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $191,000 in the California, Denver, and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
