Job Summary: The Lean OPEX Tech/CI Technician is a pivotal role within our organization, dedicated to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify Improvement Opportunities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and analyses to pinpoint areas for operational enhancement.
• Utilize tools such as value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, and root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies.
Lead Change Initiatives:
• Develop and execute Kaizen/Blitz events to support the implementation of new processes and systems.
• Ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Work with Process and Operations Leaders to remove barriers and encourage teamwork.
Facilitate Workshops and Training:
• Organize and lead workshops, training sessions, and seminars to educate employees on operational excellence principles and practices (A3, RIE's, JDI's, and 9SPS).
• Train and coach employees on Lean tools and concepts including standardized work, 5s, Job instructions and Just-In-Time.
• Develop training materials and resources to support learning and development.
Project Management:
• Manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of objectives.
• Monitor and report on overall progress to OPEX Leader/Manager
Data Analysis and Performance Measurement:
• Utilize data-driven approaches to measure performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of improvement efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in and support for change initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with senior management, department leads, and frontline employees.
Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, changes, and outcomes to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, outcomes, and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education:
• High School Diploma plus three years manufacturing experience (preferably within a quality or operational excellence setting)
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience (can be a combination) in manufacturing, operational excellence, process improvement, or change management roles.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing change initiatives.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of process improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean).
• Experience with data analysis and performance measurement.
• Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Office.
