Job description


This job is accountable for the planning and implementation of improvements through the use of six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices via the use of Lean Six Sigma and other problem solving methodologies
  • Prioritize multiple projects to ensure proper allocation of people and financial resources
  • Accountable for defining, visualizing and managing performance metrics for work area
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related technical field required; i.e., Math, Science - Statistical - BA Economics - or equivalent years of demonstrated knowledge/experience, equivalent experience with no degree would be five or more years - with degree would need minimum of two years experience
  • Steel or other Process industry experience a plus
  • Successful and effective team experience
  • Strong focus on creating value for the plant
  • Ability to communicate and present the proposed improvement ideas to the organization
  • Experience analyzing data through Minitab, Excel, etc. and creating visualizations through Tableau, SQL a plus
  • Preferred candidate will have three to five years of demonstrated success in a similar role,
