Job Summary PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking experienced Lean Practitioner 3 / 5S Training Specialists to deliver high-impact 5S and workplace organization training in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on facilitating frequent classroom-style training sessions for large groups while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple shifts and locations.
Key Responsibilities * Facilitate 5S Overview Training sessions in a classroom setting for 20+ participants per session
  • Deliver training on 5S principles, visual management, and workplace organization
  • Coordinate training schedules with production teams to minimize operational disruption
  • Collaborate with Program Supervisory and Continuous Improvement teams to align content with site goals and compliance standards
  • Support sustainment activities and follow-up actions to embed 5S standards into daily operations
  • Maintain training materials, schedules, and participation records
  • Work across multiple shifts and sites throughout the Puget Sound area
Promote a strong safety culture at all timesRequired Skills & Competencies Self-Starter: Operates independently with minimal supervision to maintain 5S momentum across shifts
  • Presentation Excellence: Delivers engaging, clear, and visually supported training tailored to varied experience levels
  • Organizational Strength: Manages multiple schedules, materials, and action plans with attention to detail
  • Punctual & Reliable: Starts sessions on time and respects production schedules
  • Approachable Communicator: Builds rapport with operators and supervisors; encourages engagement and questions
Tenacious Change Agent: Follows up consistently, addresses resistance, and drives sustainable improvementsBackground & Experience 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or continuous improvement roles
