Job description

Take the next step in your career as an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner in Moses Lake, WA
Sound Physicians is a physician-founded and led, patient-first medical group grounded in one belief: better support for clinicians leads to better care for patients. Our emergency medicine teams are empowered to lead care locally with the backing of a strong national network committed to clinical excellence, intentional leadership development, and collaborative partnership. Here, you'll practice alongside care teams that work seamlessly across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care-creating smoother transitions, stronger accountability, and better outcomes for the communities we serve.
If you're looking for a place where your clinical judgment is valued, your growth is supported, and your work truly makes a difference, we'd love to talk.
Local Team Collaboration:
  • Join our close-knit team of nine EM board-certified physicians and three Advanced Practice providers at Samaritan Healthcare.
  • We are a level III trauma center with an annual ED volume of 25,000. We have a great relationship with the hospitalist service and support from general surgery, OB/GYN, radiology, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, GI, and tele neurology.
  • Work alongside our team of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds who are supportive and collaborative with other staff and departments.
  • Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
  • Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.
Qualifications:
  • Board-certified/Board-eligible Physician Assistant with recent acute care experience.
  • Due to the high acuity of patients and autonomy of the role ED experience is required.
Scheduling:
  • We understand the importance of work-life balance. Our flexible scheduling allows you to spend quality time with your loved ones or enjoy the outdoors. We cover for each other when needed and strive to accommodate requested days off. Holidays are scheduled equitably.
  • Advanced Practice Provider shifts are 2p-2a and will work with three physicians on their shifts of 7a-7p, 10a-10p, and 7p-7a.
Key Responsibilities:
  • APPs see patients independently and have good support from physicians (a physician will always be on staff during their shift). APPs see all patients in the ED, however physicians manage the sickest patients.
  • Great collaboration among physicians with APPs. Physicians lean on APP staff to run the department while physicians see the most critical patients.
  • APPs work closely with physicians and physicians are very supportive of APPs. Physicians love to teach and collaborate with APPs.
Living and Working in Moses Lake:
  • Moses Lake is a place where work and nature blend seamlessly. Known for its expansive lake and stunning desert landscapes, this Washington gem offers the peace of small-town living and the vibrancy of outdoor adventures. Whether boating, fishing, or enjoying the local arts scene, Moses Lake is where you can truly enjoy life.
  • Our patients always come first. We're a community-minded team and encourage our team members to contribute in and out of the hospital to help make our local community thrive.
  • Growth and development are at the core of Sound's medical practices, so we offer our clinicians opportunities and career advancement across the whole medical group.
Rewards and Compensation:
  • Compensation: Yearly compensation is $151,200.
