PARENT SUPPORT ANDPREVENTION PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Summary:The purpose of Parent Support and Prevention is to strengthenparent'scapacity to provide safe, permanent, and nurturing homes for their children. The program provides evidence-supported parenting curriculum, resource identification and connection, support, and advocacy to families who are experiencing stressors, which puts their children at-risk of entering or re-entering thechildwelfare system.TheParent Support andPrevention Program Managerprovidesdirect program supervision, human resource oversight, program planning and implementation, quality assurance controls, and staff training/coaching/support.


Responsibilities: Primary responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to:
AdministrativeLeadership and Management

  • Supervise the Parent Support and Prevention program resulting in the implementation ofhigh-qualityservice delivery.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the acceptance of referrals from community sources and internal staff, ensuring smooth communication and follow-up.
  • Responsible for building team cohesivenessand employee satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the oversight ofPSPSpecialistswhich includes providing monthly supportive supervision,reviewingand approving bi-weekly timesheets, mileage, employee evaluations, and all other programmatic requirements.
  • Responsible foridentifyingthe training needs and professional development needs of staff supervised.
  • Ensure staff are trained/certified in Motivational Interviewing
  • Ensure staff are trained/certified inall components ofNurturing Parenting Program (NPP)
  • Responsible formonitoringthe workload of the Specialists andadjustas needed.
  • Assiststaff with home visits and follow up meetings as needed.
  • Ensure allprogram requirements and documentationiscomplete andaccurateincludingtimelyentry into the internal database system,SAM.
  • Initial narrative process,client narratives, and action plans
  • Complete programmatic month end reports, asrequired.
  • Assistwith grant planning, tracking,andreportingasrequired.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing evaluation of support groups,identifycaregiver training needs, and ensureappropriate oversightand quality standards are maintained.
  • Attendand professionallyparticipatein externaltrainings, courthearings,andcommunitymeetings asrequired.
  • Responsible fordeveloping andmaintainingrelationships with key stakeholders and community partners to create strong partnerships to enable a continual flow of regularly received programreferrals. This mayinclude active outreach to schedule speaking engagements,distribute program brochures,participatein tabling events,etc.
  • Contribute on an organizational level with a focus on agency culture, cultural competency, and performance improvement outcomes.Participate in staffand leadershipmeetings andinternaltrainings. Collaborate andassistcolleagues across departmentsas needed.


Outcome Planning/PQI

  • Review andidentifysystem processes,improvementsand efficiencies to provide feedback to senior leadership.
  • Responsible for the ongoing review of client files and completion of quarterly audits. Ensure corrections are made promptly by Specialist assigned.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's Degreerequired(Master's Degreepreferred) in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services fieldand two (2+) years of experience working in non-profit social service agencies with management experience(2+ years preferred).
  • Experience working with marginalized communities with an understanding ofthe barriers thatimpactunderserved communities. Quicklyestablishrapport and build trust.
  • Collaborate and advocate for positive outcomes, using interpersonal skills in multi-disciplinary,diverseand dynamic professional teams.
  • Strong verbal communication skills anddemonstratedability to write clearly andeffectively with a proventrack recordin setting priorities and proposing new ways of creating efficiencies.
  • Adaptable and proactive self-starter who effectively multitasks whilemaintainingstrong attention to detail and organization to consistently meetobjectivesand deadlines.
  • Core understanding ofprogram development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Demonstratea high levelof emotional intelligence through leadership, team management, and strong interpersonal skills; adapt communication and work style to effectively engage diverse cultures, individuals, and organizations.
  • Model ethical and professional behavior at all times.
  • Maintain flexibility in workschedule, including availability for evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Travel required within surrounding counties with or without accommodation.
