Job PurposeThe Software Development Manager is responsible for leading the development team across people, process, and technology, while overseeing all aspects of the development lifecycle to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions that align with the evolving needs of clients and the market.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the software development team, ensuring accountability, productivity, and alignment with company goals in a growing, potentially hybrid environment.
  • Application Development Oversight: Direct full lifecycle development of proprietary applications-from planning and design through testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance-ensuring quality and reliability.

    Agile Delivery & Sprint Management: Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and ticket progress to meet deadlines, maintain development standards, and deliver high-quality releases.

  • Strategic Collaboration & Road mapping: Partner with leadership and business teams to define requirements, develop application roadmaps, and align technology solutions with business strategy.

  • Performance, Quality & Innovation: Monitor KPIs, ensure adherence to development standards, evaluate new technologies, and provide technical guidance to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements
  • Experience & Education: 5-7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration preferred, or 7-9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • .NET & Technical Expertise: Minimum of 5 years working in a .NET environment, with strong proficiency in C#, HTML, CSS, and Microsoft SQL.

  • Architecture & Solution Design: Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, forward-thinking solutions within large-scale development projects.

  • Tools & Systems Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft technologies including Blazor (preferred), Windows environments, and proprietary or enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP).

  • Analytical Thinking & Adaptability: Strong critical thinking skills with a curious, solution-oriented mindset and ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
