Job description

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a Senior IT Voice Engineer for our enterprise voice and network environment. This role will contribute as a team member for both Cisco CUCM and Microsoft Teams Voice, playing a critical role in our active migration from Cisco to Microsoft Teams Voice.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience, strong architectural skills, and a proven ability to lead complex voice migrations while maintaining operational stability.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities
Voice Architecture
  • Support the migration from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Voice.
  • Design voice architecture, including Direct Routing, Calling Plans, and hybrid scenarios
  • Provide expert-level support for Microsoft Teams Voice, Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection, CCX, gateways, and SIP integrations during transition
  • Configure, manage, and optimize Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
  • Develop and maintain dial plans, call routing, normalization rules, and number porting strategies
  • Analyze and resolve complex call quality and signaling issues

Network & Infrastructure Engineering
  • Ensure enterprise network readiness for Teams Voice, including QoS, bandwidth planning, and latency optimization
  • Support enterprise LAN/WAN environments with a focus on voice quality and QoS
  • Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, QoS, routing, and switching
  • Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure voice traffic reliability and security
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues

Operations
  • Work closely with vendors, carriers, and Microsoft/Cisco support
  • Establish operational standards, monitoring, and documentation
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives for voice and collaboration services

Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Voice, preferably Direct Routing
  • Extensive experience supporting Cisco CUCM in large enterprise environments
  • Deep understanding of SIP, VoIP, RTP, TLS, and telephony signaling
  • Proven experience leading or architecting voice migration projects
  • Strong networking fundamentals (QoS, VLANs, routing, switching)
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across voice and network layers

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience leading Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Voice migrations
  • Experience with global or multi-site voice deployments
