Job description

Title: Cisco Telecom Analyst/Cisco Call Manager (CUCM).
Location:  Euless, TX  75261 (Onsite).
Duration: 12+ Months Contract.

(Plus 8 days holiday pay and 15 days PTO)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Cisco Telecommunications Analyst to provide technical expertise to ensure that telecommunications and network facilities are sufficient, appropriate, and functioning well.  They will also ensure that data, Voice, and Voicemail systems perform at optimum and cost-effective levels.  

Required Experience (3+ years):

  • Experience working with digital network systems.
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager (CUCM)
  • Experience with Cisco Contact Center (UCCX/UCCE/Webex Contact Center)
  • Experience applying knowledge of the theory, principles, practices, and techniques of operating and maintaining telecommunications systems and equipment.
  • Experience applying knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with electronics work.
  • Experience working with advanced radio-communication technology, fiber optic transmission technology and digital telephone transmission and switching.
  • Experience working with current voice processing technology.
  • Experience working with current computers and computer network applications including structure, architecture, and standardization.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with NEC telephony.
  • Experience with Voicemail systems.
  • Experience with SIP and TDM voice services. 
  • Experience with Microsoft TEAMs technology.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor''''''''''''''''s degree in electronics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines causes of systems malfunctions and directs or performs corrective actions.
  • Monitors, logs, tracks, and resolves hardware and software deficiencies, notes failure patterns and tendencies; recommends preventive action.
  • Advises Board departments of potential disruptions in service that may affect voice mail and telephone services.
  • Reviews requests for service, evaluates whether requested services fall within guidelines and ensures hardware and software availability and compatibility.
  • Maintains professional proficiency in the latest technologies and state of the art in voice and data communications.
  • Develops telephone system and voice mail requirements for new Board facilities; designs related communications facilities.
  • Installs telecommunications systems in new or remodeled Board facilities.
  • Identifies and acquires appropriate test equipment and spare parts inventory for network support.
  • Maintains ongoing contact with telecommunications users to ensure problems are resolved.
  • Provides project management and coordination.
