Our client seeks a Software Architect to join the Architecture Team to lead and coordinate software development activities and align software architecture with Systems Engineering, Test Engineering, and PMO stakeholders. The role will engage in customer discussions, drive architectural research and documentation, guide documentation deliverables, and support integration, testing, troubleshooting, and fielding. A 9/80 work schedule option is available.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $90.00 to $95.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the lead Software Architect and senior developers to lead software development activities for a group of 20+ developers.
  • Participate in and lead discussions at customer meetings, working groups, and technical interchange meetings. Prepare and deliver project briefing materials.
  • Research, design, prototype, and document web architectures, system interfaces, and user interfaces per customer priorities, industry standards, and policy.
  • Guide the development of administrator and user documentation, including reference manuals, installation guides, and data sheets.
  • Assist with system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and fielding.
Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 8+ years with a doctorate. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a senior software engineer performing full stack development.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and managing complex project lifecycles.
  • Proven history of designing, deploying, and maintaining production systems.
  • Experience using AI in the software development lifecycle to improve team productivity.
  • Mastery of varied architecture styles.
  • Expertise with Model Based Engineering and leading teams transitioning processes into a digital engineering environment.
  • Solid understanding of UML and SysML.
  • Experience defining and maintaining implementation schedules to drive performance, objectives, and results.
  • Ability to work with Program and Project Management customers, reporting on progress, schedule, and risk.
  • Self-starter able to assume a leadership role in an in-progress activity.
  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
  • Desired: Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo/NoMagic and related tools.
  • Desired: Experience with database management software.
  • Desired: Test-Driven Development experience.
  • Desired: Familiarity with systems performance analysis.
