Special Projects Lead, Marketing & Business Development
Shape strategy. Tell powerful stories. Win meaningful work.
If you're a senior marketing professional who loves turning ideas into impact and thrives in fast-paced, relationship-driven environments this role was designed with you in mind.
As a Special Projects Lead, you'll sit at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and business development. You'll partner closely with senior leadership to drive high-visibility pursuits, craft compelling narratives, and elevate how the organization shows up in the marketplace. Your work will directly influence growth, reputation, and long-term success.
This is an opportunity to lead, not just execute to bring your experience, creativity, and judgment to the table and be trusted to make things happen.
What You'll Do
  • Lead direct-to-client pursuits that position the organization to win work
  • Develop persuasive, well-written content for print and digital platforms
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, compelling marketing collateral
  • Prepare interview and presentation materials that support business development efforts
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on marketing strategy and special initiatives
  • Support participation in relevant client organizations and industry associations

What You Bring - Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated results
  • Experience in professional services or service-based industries strongly preferred
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong design sensibility, including typography and layout, with openness to feedback
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with confidence
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft applications
  • A robust portfolio showcasing creative, strategic marketing work across platforms

How You Show Up
  • Collaborative, proactive, and relationship-oriented
  • Comfortable working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Organized, self-motivated, and accountable
  • Thoughtful, fiscally responsible, and detail-oriented
  • Dependable and persuasive, with strong follow-through
  • A problem-solver who sees obstacles as opportunities
  • Creative, adaptable, and known for a "can-do" attitude

Why This Role Stands Out
  • High visibility and direct access to decision-makers
  • Meaningful influence on strategy, positioning, and growth
  • A team-oriented environment that values professionalism, integrity, and initiative
  • The chance to apply your experience in a role that truly benefits from senior-level thinking
