Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Lead to oversee mainframe development, maintenance, and operations with 8+ years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in mainframe systems (z/OS, COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS-DB),
strong leadership abilities, and the experience to mentor team members and manage projects.
This role requires both hands-on technical work and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of mainframe developers and analysts in delivering complex enterprise solutions.
Provide technical direction and architecture guidance for mainframe systems and applications.
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance COBOL applications running on z/OS platforms.
Review, optimize, and troubleshoot JCL, DB2, IMS-DB and CICS components.
Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to gather requirements and ensure delivery meets business needs.
Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and integration with other enterprise systems.
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and change management policies.
Mentor junior team members and foster knowledge sharing.
Provide production support for critical mainframe applications and ensure SLAs are met.
Identify opportunities to modernize or integrate legacy systems with cloud or distributed systems.
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience in mainframe environments.
Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, IMS-DB and z/OS.
Experience with batch and online processing systems.
Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., CA7, Control-M).
Proven track record in leading mainframe teams or projects.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
