Metro Laundry Service is the only Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and completely family-owned commercial laundry services provider in the Washington, DC, area. We offer reliable, high-quality laundry services with prompt pick-up and a 24-hour turnaround available seven days a week. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows us to handle high volumes with efficiency, meeting the needs of a multitude of hotels.  


Position Overview 

Metro Laundry Service is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Laundry Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial laundry equipment, as well as overseeing building and grounds maintenance.  


Looking to make a career switch? We are willing to train candidates with relevant mechanical experience from other industries, such as automotive or HVAC! 

Requirements

Responsibilities: 

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial laundry equipment. 
  • Conduct preventative maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines. 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical (AC/DC), steam, and hydraulic systems. 
  • Maintain the facility infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. 
  • Document maintenance activities and collaborate with operations staff to minimize downtime. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols. 


Qualifications: 

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment repair. 
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. 
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Relevant experience in industries like automotive, HVAC, or manufacturing is a plus.
