ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Maintain all inspections and preventative maintenance on commercial laundry machinery & electronic control systems to ensure and maintain reliability and operational readiness. Performs assigned scope/ maintenance as prescribed through workflow plan and meets company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of machinery serviced, assist to maintain reliability and operational readiness and communicate daily to Facility Services Senior Manager and/or Director, as required and/or assigned.
  • Respond to all Laundry Maintenance Services request for assistance, as required, and assists with special projects as required.
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all questions, complaints, or requests, referring to Management as required.
  • Perform any other duties within the assigned areas as deemed necessary by Facilities Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 with a valid driver license.
  • Performing daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections and preventative maintenance towards laundry equipment & Electronic control systems. Inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of applicable control systems.
  • Identifying system deficiencies and recommending immediate and long-term corrective action to decrease maintenance costs and decrease downtimes of equipment as assigned. This involves researching defective mechanically controlled items/parts, instructional information to complete the repair process when needed, referring to technical manuals, technical library, and the OEM design of system while utilizing a systematic approach.
  • Logging completion of inspections, corrective action, and/or repairs made and listing applicable parts used.
  • Performing modifications to all equipment as directed by Facility Services department.
  • Responding to downtimes of machinery and ensuring quality repair related issues and quick recovery of Automation Machinery related issues.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Safety, Health & Environmental responsibilities by following established policies & procedures
  • Properly cleaning and storing equipment and tools in designated storage areas.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policies & procedures.
  • Must be a self-starter and quality driven skilled technician.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, MSDS and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret documents such as OEM documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, electrical and electronic schematics, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must have the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must have the ability to write simple correspondence and possess the ability to estimate repair expenses and controls of material inventory.
