POSITION PURPOSE:
Maintains laundry and boiler room equipment in good working order by performing preventative maintenance. Undertakes additional repairs and, when needed, schedules more evasive work with POM or vendor. Prepares processes and cleans linen for Medical Center, Main Clinic and the Health Centers service accounts according to accepted Healthcare industry standards following BSI protocols.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all laundry and boiler room equipment. Works directly with supervisor to coordinate external maintenance and/or repairs as needed.
  • Works directly with supervisor to manage warehouse and grounds maintenance, including alarm systems.
  • Works with tech support to troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Operates and trains others on proper operation of computerized laundry equipment.
  • Performs and trains on proper handling, sorting and washing of contaminated linen for medical center and off-site service accounts.
  • Performs Essential functions of Linen Specialist and leads staff in day-to-day functions.
  • Assists hauling bulk deliveries and collections, alongside supporting courier services.
  • Maintains CGH vehicle records and maintenance records.

SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and perform basic mathematics required.
  • Ability to trouble shoot mechanical malfunctions required.
  • Ability to plan and undertake mechanical repairs required.

Compensation Range
