Print with Purpose!

The Ink Jet Operator I operates inkjet printers efficiently and accurately producing at a basic level of output in accordance with operating instructions to meet production expectations.

Ink Jet Operator Essential Functions

  • Operates Ink Jet Printer as assigned to produce printed material according to job specifications at the average rate of approximately 225,000 pieces per shift.
  • Operate additional in-line equipment, as needed.
  • Operates and maintains unwind and rewind operating equipment.
  • Complies with Quality Assurance requirements according to job specifications.
  • Completes log sheet to track paper usage and job status.
  • Cleans up workstation including general housekeeping and sweeping of work/job area.

Ink Jet Operator Additional Responsibilities

  • Completes additional tasks assigned by Laser Manager.
  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with DMS Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Learns and adheres to all information technology, and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Adheres to all other DMS policies and procedures.
  • Completes all required compliance training on time and in good faith.

Ink Jet Operator Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Production environment experience preferred
  • Basic mechanical ability preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work outside of regular business hours including weekends

Shift Timings:

Sunday through Thursday 10:30pm - 6:30am

Ink Jet Operator Physical Demands

This position involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 25 lbs. in weight and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 50 lbs. in weight. Employees are on their feet for extended periods of time and moving constantly.
