Job description

Job Summary-
Key responsibilities for this position will involve the configuration and operation of various computer numeric controlled (CNC) machinery in a metal fabrication environment. A significant contribution to successful job completion will come from the ability to establish correct machine parameters and perform essential adjustments as needed.

Summary of essential job functions- A successful candidate will independently set up and operate industrial metal cutting laser systems. This requires a working knowledge of CNC programming with the ability to interpret and edit code, alongside a disciplined adherence to documented procedures to guarantee that initial production samples meet all quality standards. Strict compliance with all safety protocols for industrial machinery is mandatory. The role also involves following quality management processes and coordinating any concerns through the proper organizational channels, such as team leads, management, and quality assurance.


Minimum requirements:

-        Minimum 3 years experience

-        Ability to read/understand blue prints

-        Extensive programming knowledge

-        Microscope work; (light source inspection)

-        Ability to use measuring devices; (ie) Verniers, Pin Gage, (CMM

-        Set up/operate CNC laser machines; IPI’s

-        Understanding “G” Code

-        Understand feed rates; power parameters; different material properties

-        Experience with Manufacturing software/or similar job tracking software (ShopTech-E2)

-        Understanding of job flow

-        Time Management;

-        Professional demeanor
