  • Experience and training in diagnosis and therapeutic intervention of articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and voice.ย 
  • Working knowledge of strategies and accommodations to support students in inclusion settings.ย 
  • Ability to collaborate positively with general education and special education staff, parents and administrators.ย 
  • Experience with a variety of diagnostic instruments appropriate for students.ย 
  • Skill and experience working with students who use augmentative and adaptive communication strategies and devices.ย 
  • Experience in writing Individual Education Programs (IEP), including working knowledge of social and behavioral language goals, specific task analysis skills, and ability to write measurable annual goals and objectives.ย 
  • Participate as an effective member of the IEP team.ย 
  • Completion and maintenance of CCCs in SLP is preferred.ย 
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations for disabled studentsย 

State License - Education - Certification Requirements:ย 

  • Minimum of a masterโ€™s degree in a field related to Speech-Language Pathologyย 
  • State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)ย 
  • Educator/Teacher Certification if required by State or Department of Educationย
