Job Title: Lead Technician - Construction & Landscaping (Full-Time)

Company: The client is Washington DC’s One-Stop Shop for Outdoor Design, Maintenance and Installation.

Type of Employment: At-Will Employment

Job Description:

As a Lead Technician - Construction & Landscaping for our client, you will work on-site as a member of our crew to complete landscaping projects. We complete a wide range of projects including mowing/edging, weeding, trimming/pruning, turf/plant care, installing vegetation, retaining walls, hardscapes, fencing and many other types of projects.

You will learn/gain experience in a number of areas that you may not currently have experience in; however, it is expected that you have extensive experience/are an expert at mowing and edging lawns, and trimming/pruning vegetation (shrubs, trees, grasses, etc)

What You Will Do

Primarily

  • Independently complete mowing/edging projects - with the ability to protect plant health and deliver aesthetically pleasing results.
  • Independently complete trimming/pruning projects - with the ability to protect plant health and deliver aesthetically pleasing results.

Additionally

  • Assist supervisor to complete a wide range of low-risk outdoor installation projects, including mowing/edging, trimming/pruning, weeding, mulching, concrete installation, hardscape, carpentry, sod, irrigation, lighting and vegetation installation, snow/leaf removal, and more.
  • Operate manual tools and power tools
  • Report concerns or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
  • Complete work correctly, so as to avoid re-work
  • Responsible for returning equipment in working condition
  • Politely engage with community stakeholders
  • Leave job site in clean condition
  • Assist operations team as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of landscaping experience - including retaining walls, masonry and concrete
  • Demonstrated leadership of leading initiatives and projects at your organization.
  • All-hands-on-deck approach.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $27-35/hour

Weekly Hours: 40 hours a week

Schedule: Monday to Sunday (Flexible)

Work Location: Multiple locations (primarily DC). Primary meet up location is located 4 blocks from NoMA metro station

Payout Schedule: Weekly on Fridays

Our Three-Step Interview Process:

Work alongside the owner for a day, so that both yourself and client get an idea if we are a good fit for each other.

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
