Job description

Dynamic Landscaping

Landscape Sales Representative

Location: Syracuse, IN -- In-person / Field-Based

Build Relationships. Solve Problems. Bring Outdoor Visions to Life.

Dynamic Landscaping is a growing, women-owned landscaping company serving Syracuse and surrounding Northern Indiana communities. We provide landscaping, lawn care, property maintenance, irrigation, and other outdoor services with a commitment to quality workmanship, dependable service, and long-term customer relationships. Our team values integrity, dependability, customer care, pride in quality work, accountability, and continuous growth; and we are looking for sales professionals who share those standards.

We are looking for a Landscape Sales Representative who understands that selling landscaping is about more than closing a deal. Our customers are trusting us with their homes, properties, and outdoor spaces, so successful sales here are built through relationships, expertise, communication, and follow-through.

You will work with customers from the initial conversation through the sales and project process, helping them determine what they actually need, not simply taking an order. You will also work closely with our production team to make sure what is sold can be successfully delivered. The right person combines sales ability with landscaping knowledge, strong customer care, accurate documentation, and the discipline to consistently use our software, processes, activity tracking, and scorecards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective customers to understand their property needs, goals, and concerns.
  • Build trusted, consultative relationships rather than relying on transactional selling.
  • Recommend landscaping solutions based on the customer's needs and your industry knowledge.
  • Develop proposals and estimates using company estimating and CRM software.
  • Maintain communication with customers throughout the sales and project process.
  • Prospect for new business through outbound calling, networking, follow-up, and other sales activities.
  • Conduct cold calls and proactive outreach when appropriate.
  • Follow up consistently with leads and prospective customers.
  • Accurately document customer conversations, project details, next steps, and sales activity.
  • Maintain required sales scorecards, activity tracking, and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with production teams to communicate project scope and ensure sold work can be executed successfully.
  • Coordinate changes or additional requests that arise during projects.
  • Learn and follow Dynamic Landscaping's established sales, estimating, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and work collaboratively to find solutions.
  • Maintain strong product, service, and landscaping knowledge.

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of landscaping or green-industry experience required.
  • Previous sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of landscaping services, materials, installation, maintenance, or related outdoor services.
  • Comfortable with consultative, relationship-based sales.
  • Ability and willingness to prospect, cold call, and develop new business.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify what a customer needs.
  • Comfortable learning and consistently working within software-based processes.
  • Ability to accurately document customer interactions, estimates, project details, and follow-up activity.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and willing to put in the work required to achieve goals.
  • Receptive to coaching and feedback, enough to learn Dynamic Landscaping's established way of doing business.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and being held accountable to measurable scorecards and expectations.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Team player who understands that sales and production must work together.
  • Reliable attendance and strong personal accountability.
  • Valid driver's license required due to regular travel to customer properties.
  • Experience with Aspire, LMN, or similar landscape management software is an asset.

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-Time, W-2 Employment
  • Pay: $60,000 base salary plus commission.
  • Dynamic Landscaping offers multiple commission structures; final commission details will be reviewed as part of the compensation plan. Typical total annual compensation is $90.000 - $120.000
  • Supplemental insurance options available, including dental, vision, short-term disability, and hospitalization coverage.
  • 401(k) available after 6 months with a 4% company match.
  • Paid time off available; details provided with the employment offer.
  • Ongoing training and opportunities to expand landscape and sales knowledge.
  • Career advancement opportunities as Dynamic Landscaping continues to grow.
  • Schedule: Generally Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends as customer needs require

Why Dynamic Landscaping?

At Dynamic Landscaping, sales is not about making promises and handing a project to someone else; it is about building relationships and helping the entire team deliver an excellent customer experience. You will have the opportunity to develop your industry knowledge, work alongside experienced landscaping professionals, and grow as the company expands. We are ambitious, fast-moving, and committed to developing strong leaders. If you are accountable, collaborative, results-oriented, and motivated by both customer relationships and results, you can build a meaningful career here.

Dynamic Landscaping encourages applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.
