Job description

As a Landscape Maintenance Crew Member/Driver, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our clients’ properties, while also being the driver for the crew. This position offers the chance to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment where learning and collaboration are encouraged. Crew members are valued for their expertise and commitment to quality, and have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both team members and customers.Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of grounds maintenance tasks, including raking leaves, mowing, pruning, edging, and soil preparation
  • Safely operate landscape equipment and hand tools
  • Drive the crew to and from job sites and promote safety during transit and while on job sites
  • Conduct job site inspections and complete job site checklists to ensure quality standards are met
  • Install annual plants, shrubs, and trees following proper planting procedures
  • Apply horticultural best practices and demonstrate basic knowledge of pests and diseases
  • Perform various types of trimming and pruning
  • Communicate effectively with field staff, management, and customers
  • Report issues promptly to the direct supervisor
  • Participate in safety meetings and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
  • Work collaboratively with the team to complete tasks efficiently and within labor goals
  • Perform Winter Service tasks (snow clearing, plowing, shoveling, and salting) as needed
Qualifications
  • Reliable transportation REQUIRED
  • Valid driver's license PREFERRED
  • 2-3 years of experience in landscape and grounds maintenance preferred
  • Ability to safely operate landscape equipment and use hand tools
  • Ability to visually identify plants, pests, and diseases
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Consistent and dependable attendance record
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and crew leaders
