About the Role: 

As an integral part of the Marketing team, the Videographer has a passion for creativity, quality, and innovation, and will support Spot's marketing objectives using a variety of video tactics to effectively communicate to our three target audiences: shippers, carriers, and employees. The ideal candidate for this position has a proven track record of executing various marketing concepts through video, is up to date on recent video trends and equipment, and has a solid understanding of video landscape; works efficiently in a deadline-driven environment, is highly organized, and strives for detailed, polished results every time.

The candidate will report to the Director of Marketing, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and is an individual contributor joining a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Will provide creative thinking that understands business needs and translates those needs into creative solutions for the Spot portfolio.
  • Create video solutions that support brand strategy, initiatives, objectives, and goals through best-in-class visuals.
  • Effectively present creative concepts to internal teams as needed with thoughtful rationale.
  • Understand assigned creative briefs to ensure information is actionable prior to executing design work.
  • Works closely with creative team and Director of Marketing to concept and execute a variety of videos to use in internal and external communications, town halls, presentations, and social media.
  • Responsible for the growth/management of Spot's YouTube channel.
  • Maintain knowledge of creative marketing trends and best practices.
  • Edits all video he/she films as well as any archival footage or footage taken by third-party vendors.
  • Works closely with the Director of Marketing to execute current strategies in place and create new strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communications or related field.
  • Three to five years of proven progressive experience within a corporate B2B marketing department, advertising/marketing company or freelance/contract environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with applications such as Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Premier Pro and After Effects.
  • Animation skills a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative under ambiguous circumstances in a fast paced, results-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, with strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal presentation skills.
  • Must provide samples of your best work.
