We are looking for a highly motivated College Civil Engineering Intern/Co-op who is passionate about the land development design and construction process to join our Raleigh, NC team. In this role you will work in close partnership with Project Managers to complete land development design, planning and permitting for Design/Build projects.

The anticipated start date for this opening is Summer 2027!

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Attend meetings with Design/Build professionals to understand project requirements
  • Research and collect site specific information to initiate the land development process
  • Assist in the Design and draft of land development concept plans for  life sciences, advanced manufacturing, industrial, and commercial mixed-use projects
  • Review project design drawings to assist Project Management team
  • Perform site investigative due diligence and work with contracting team to value engineer sites
  • Produce colored renderings of land plans
  • Prepare schematic site plan, grading & utility plans to illustrate site developability based on site constraints
  • Perform preliminary storm water detention analysis, site utility design, and earth work analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Enrolled in a Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering degree program
  • Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 is preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic
