Summary
Seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support the transition of complex electronic assemblies from development into production. This role is responsible for developing automated test systems, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, supporting supplier readiness, and leading cross-functional efforts to ensure successful product launches and production scalability.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain automated test equipment for electronic assemblies and circuit card assemblies.
• Design test hardware including interfaces, wiring diagrams, power distribution, switch matrices, and data acquisition systems.
• Develop and support test software using LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Python, C, C++, and C#.
• Integrate commercial test equipment including signal generators, multimeters, power supplies, and computer systems.
• Design test cables, schematics, and supporting documentation.
• Support test equipment build, verification, qualification, and acceptance activities.
• Lead transition of electronic products and test systems into production environments.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and production readiness efforts.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to resolve production and test-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and support corrective action activities for electronic assembly failures.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Improve test processes, equipment performance, and production efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electronics test engineering, production engineering, or related fields.
• Strong experience troubleshooting complex electronic hardware and software systems.
• Experience developing automated test equipment and production test systems.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Python, C, C++, and/or C#.
• Experience integrating electronic test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to lead technical projects and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with Cadence OrCAD and Allegro.
• Experience with microprocessor-based systems and embedded programming.
• Experience supporting supplier qualification and manufacturing transfer activities.
• Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated electronics manufacturing experience.
