JOB OVERVIEW:
Join the Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division as a Mechanical Engineer and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to advancing aerospace technology. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support mechanical systems, testing initiatives, and hydraulic applications in our R&D Test Lab. Collaborate closely with experienced engineers to enhance lab capabilities, conduct critical development and certification testing, and contribute to innovative aerospace projects. Our team fosters a strong learning culture, where knowledge sharing and professional development are highly encouraged. This role suits someone who can work independently while taking direction from senior engineers and contributing in a high-performance team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the R&D Lab team by taking direction from senior engineers on active projects.
  • Design pressure, flow, and spray test stands and upgrades, focusing on improved automation using control valves and pressure & flow sensors.
  • Develop and improve test stand control hardware and safety circuitry to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Participate actively in a High-Performance Team environment, contributing to various functions as needed.
  • Present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Support fellow engineers with projects and tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a zero-incident culture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
  • Hands-On Skills: Experience in mechanical systems design, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
  • Communication: Excellent skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with precise scientific documentation abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to our facilities, local universities, and suppliers.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Person.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
