Agile Space Industries is seeking an experienced onsite Data Acquisition and Controls Systems (DACS) LabVIEW Engineer in Tulsa, OK to provide technical experience and depth to our DACS team supporting hypergolic propulsion systems testing. The ideal candidate for this role will have technical experience to provide guidance to other DACS engineers and program teams, to make informed architecture decisions, and guide the development process while working as a team member on active development projects. Critical skillsets include systems design and development, LabVIEW development, project and team leadership skills, and technical decision making with a focus on safety and reliability. This position requires a leadership and collaboration mindset with a focus on pragmatic and timely implementation.


 This position is onsite and may be based in either Tulsa, Oklahoma or Durango, Colorado. 


Responsibilities

  • Support the Agile Test Site Operations team by designing, developing, testing, integrating, troubleshooting, and upgrading software used in propulsion testing
  • Work in NI LabVIEW, including LabVIEW FPGA and LabVIEW Real-Time, to create and maintain control and measurement applications
  • Work with sensors including but not limited to pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, pyrometers, and flow meters
  • Work with control mechanisms including but not limited to pneumatic solenoid valves, remote pressure regulators, relays, valve drivers, VFDs, motorized throttling valves
  • Ensure compliance with applicable software development standards and best practices
  • Interface with various test and measurement instruments such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes
  • Implement and support communication protocols including VISA, TCP/IP, and serial interfaces
  • All work shall be performed in a collaborative team environment with a focus on safety and long-term system reliability

Requirements

  • You will be required to work on-site at our testing facilities located in Durango, CO
  • Education: B.S. or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field (with strong programming background)
  • 8+ Years relevant experience
  • 5+ Years experience with LabVIEW (Actor Framework preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in programming languages such as Python or C++
  • Demonstrated expertise in the fundamentals of object-oriented programming
  • Hands-on experience designing and debugging low voltage electrical systems
  • Experience working within Linux-based environments
  • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset
  • Capacity to communicate effectively and work in team environments 
  • Strong organization and time management skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) Certification
  • Actor Framework (AF) experience
  • Familiarity with NI PXIe (R-Series), NI cRIO, DAQmx, LV FPGA
  • A strong grasp on computer networking basics (TCP/IP, UDP, firewalls)
  • Experience with high-speed signal integrity practices
  • Experience working on safety critical systems
  • Experience as a team leader or mentor
  • Experience with Git, Gitlab, WSL, JIRA, SSH

Employment Type: Exempt

The expected salary range for this role is $92,000 - $200,000 annually.  The posted salary range reflects consideration for multiple experience levels within this role. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
