LabVIEW Engineer – Automated Test Equipment (ATE)

Location: Jamestown, ND
Job Type: Full-Time / Long Term

Pay Rate: $44/hr on W2
Experience: 6+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced LabVIEW Engineer with strong expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) development and support. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience developing automated test applications using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand, along with experience integrating and troubleshooting various test and measurement hardware.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and support automated test applications using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
  • Design and implement Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions for product testing and validation.
  • Integrate and configure test hardware including PXI, cRIO, DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
  • Develop automated test sequences and test procedures.
  • Perform hardware and software integration for automated testing systems.
  • Execute validation testing and troubleshoot test system issues.
  • Debug LabVIEW applications, test sequences, hardware interfaces, and communication issues.
  • Support electronics testing and product validation activities.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation and related technical specifications.
  • Work with engineering and cross‑functional teams to resolve test and system issues.
  • Support continuous improvement of automated test processes and equipment.
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience working with Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Strong hands‑on experience with NI LabVIEW.
  • Strong experience with NI TestStand.
  • Experience with PXI and cRIO platforms.
  • Experience with DAQ systems and test/measurement equipment.
  • Hands‑on experience with hardware integration and test automation.
  • Experience with validation testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of electronics testing.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as:
    • TCP/IP
    • Serial
    • CAN
    • SPI
    • I2C
    • Bluetooth
