Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description

This role focuses on carefully wrapping and packaging painted parts and cabs to protect them during transport between a new assembly facility and various plant locations. You will help reduce damage and costly paint rework by applying packaging materials correctly and consistently. As the process is still being refined, you will actively contribute to establishing standards, provide feedback, and adapt to changes as procedures improve.

Responsibilities

  • Wrap painted parts and cabs in appropriate packaging materials to protect them during transport between facilities and plants.
  • Handle, lift, and position parts and materials safely and consistently, including lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Follow established packaging procedures and quality standards to minimize damage and reduce the need for paint rework.
  • Assist in developing and refining packaging processes and standards as the new assembly facility ramps up operations.
  • Load and prepare packaged parts for movement to other locations, ensuring items are secure and properly labeled when required.
  • Work efficiently in a production and manufacturing environment to support consistent workflow and on-time movement of parts.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership using strong written and verbal skills to share updates, issues, and improvement ideas.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and reliability to support steady production and transport schedules.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe, following all facility guidelines and safety practices.

Schedules include a first shift from 4:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, a second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and a weekend shift from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The weekend shift includes a premium and is structured as a three-day workweek. You will work around typical manufacturing equipment and packaging materials, following all safety guidelines and wearing appropriate attire suitable for an active production floor.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
