Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support the Dayton VA Medical Center located at 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, OH 45428. Available shift schedules include days and evening. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing Federal customers with solutions in many arenas. Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of national security, health care, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing
  • Analyze, verify, and accurately report test results
  • Complete STAT testing within 60 minutes of receipt
  • Communicate critical values to providers and document read-back
  • Perform and document quality control (QC) and proficiency testing
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
  • Manage reagents, supplies, and inventory
  • Follow laboratory SOPs, CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and VA standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of results, QC, and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and patient safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 24 months of experience
  • Must hold current MLT certification from:
    • ASCP (BOC or BOR)
    • AMT
    • American Association of Bioanalysts
  • No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
