Salary: $22 - 25 per hour

Stallant Health & Wellness is seeking a motivated Laboratory Assistant to help establish and run a new Moderate Complexity Lab at our Highland, CA Rural Health Clinic. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up while playing a key role in ensuring timely, accurate results for patient care.

We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant who not only brings technical expertise and precision but also shares our passion for reimagining the healthcare experience. Duties would include:

  • Conduct clinical laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and other areas
  • Receive, label, and process incoming specimens (blood, tissue, or chemical) according to strict SOPs
  • Set up and Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure quality control standards
  • Perform routine calibrations on sensitive machinery and report any technical malfunctions
  • Monitor supply levels and assist in the ordering and restocking of reagents and disposables
  • Phlebotomy
  • Support the Medical Assistants when not busy in the lab
  • Report to the Lab Manager
  • Other tasks as needed


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) preferred
  • Prior 1 to 2 years experience is preferred
