Job description

Job Title : RN - Labor & Delivery

Location: Bronx, NY 10461 (Jacobi Medical Center)
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | 3 Days/Week
Weekly Hours: 36-40 Hours

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong maternal-child health experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
  • Monitor maternal and fetal conditions during labor and delivery
  • Assist physicians during delivery procedures
  • Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed
  • Perform patient assessments and document clinical findings
  • Support patients through labor, delivery, and recovery
  • Educate patients and families on postpartum and care plans
  • Respond to emergencies and provide rapid interventions
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required

Licensure & Certification:

  • Active RN License (New York State)
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS (AHA) required
  • NRP Certification required

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child Health experience
  • Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
  • Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Expertise in labor & delivery procedures
  • IV therapy and phlebotomy proficiency
  • Patient-centered care approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform in high-pressure environments
