Summary

Lidl US is searching for the next Label Compliance Analyst to join our Quality & Sustainability team! The Label Compliance Analyst supports Purchasing with regulatory support. The role is responsible for regulatory compliance for US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), US Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulated private label food and consumer goods.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Essential Functions

  • Oversees and manages assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements
  • Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects
  • Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of products, labels, advertising, and promotions as well as adherence to policies and guidelines
  • Develop pack copy information that complies with internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Review packaging for compliance with relevant regulations, standards of identity, and claim requirements
  • Review advertising and promotional materials for technical accuracy and compliance
  • Provide regulatory guidance to purchasing teams with the support of the line manager to enable accurate decision-making
  • Review and evaluate packaging to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Provide compliance recommendations with the support of the line manager by conducting research, advising of upcoming regulations
  • Review the CFT requirements with the line manager and provide regulatory input where necessary
  • Track all the important product lifecycle milestones in the internal team trackers
  • Research and monitor label compliance information, maintain databases and digital information in support of the labeling compliance process
  • Liaise between Lidl International, regulatory agencies, and Lidl US for seamless workflows on declarations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What Youโ€™ll Need

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Google Workspace tools or related software
  • Ability to work independently

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above

Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Prior experience in regulatory, nutrition or quality role with food or consumer goods is strongly preferred

Physical Job Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
