Job Description:

Job Title: Lab Test Engineer

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (onsite)

Duration: 12 months contract

Description:

  • Read and understand carrier interoperability test-plan requirements with required technical details.
  • Carefully perform 4G/5G feature test-plan on device ensuring all steps are executed properly.
  • Work with network engineer to ensure required parameters and test-steps are performed accurately.
  • Support basic cellular log analysis to determine pass/fail.
  • Track the issues to full resolution and closure.
  • Compile and share reports to update execution status on twice a day cadence.
  • Communicate critical issues/bugs in real-time internally. This is a fully onsite position requiring about 10-20% travel and flexibility for shift-work as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Some hands-on experience with device-testing/logging software e.g. o Shannon-DM, TEMS, QXDM, ELT, Accuver XCAP etc.
  • Hands-on experience in performing carrier test-plan for lab/field IOT
  • Basic knowledge of LTE/5G NR NSA/SA including KPIs, signaling, IMS and call flows.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with cross-functional coordination and challenging schedules.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
