Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience.
  • Registered PE required.
  • Experience in designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial, industrial, residential, and municipal facilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and with a team on design projects, drawings, and specifications.
  • AutoCAD and Revit MEP Experience.

RLM Engineering is a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler design firm.  The firm is focused on the building retrofit market in the NYC and Long Island area. 

Job Description:
RLM Engineering is seeking a senior electrical engineer with experience in designing electrical and fire alarm systems for a wide variety of building/facility renovation projects.

In addition to engineering design, duties will include writing specifications; CAD drafting; coordinating with other engineering disciplines, performing site visits to client facilities; and coordinating with clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies. Good communicator that will be capable of working face to face with clients daily.  Ability to manage engineering design projects to provide a quality product for the client.  Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is required.
