Job description

Rely Innovations is seeking a full-time Lab / Test Engineer to join our team!
As the Lab / Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, performance, and reliability through hands-on testing and technical analysis. This role offers the opportunity to lead special projects, drive product evaluations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary contributor to the residential environment and hazardous alarm lab program
  • Set-up, define and conduct various tests, including, but not limited to operational, environmental, and performance
  • Coordinate laboratory equipment schedules
  • Conduct evaluations on products, components, and assemblies
  • Perform product inspections
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and support product improvements through rework and qualification activities

Requirements
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other engineering disciplines OR an associate's degree with electrics experience
  • Technical training in math, technical writing, physics, electronics, or other engineering disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a lab setting conducting tests, writing technical reports, and working with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters
  • Proficiency in soldering through-hole and SMT components down to 0402 size
  • Experience with mechanical/electrical assembly for quick prototyping
  • Knowledge of environmental testing, electrical circuits, and mechanical designs of products and systems utilizing embedded firmware
  • Proficient in status reporting and communicating technical data/results, issues, impacts, and corrective actions using Microsoft Word and Excel
