Laboratory Supervisor

Work hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) - 8:00am-4:30pm

Here's What You Need
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, Biological or Clinical Science required Or
Bachelor's Degree MUST have 24 semester hours of science courses with 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, medical lab technology in any combination.
• 5 years under the director of an MT or Pathologist.
• 2 years leadership experience preferred.
• MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist Upon Hire Or MLS - Medical Lab Scientist Upon Hire Or CT(ASCP) upon hire Or HTL(ASCP) upon hire
Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology Upon Hire required
What You Will Do
• Oversees work schedules and personnel assignments for the department
• Reviews abnormal results
• Checks outstanding tests list in a timely manner
• Resolves quality control discrepancies before releasing patient results
• Recognizes and diffuses crisis situations, including complaints from physicians, nurses, other hospital personnel, patients and/or their families, and co-workers.
• Complies with lab and section/cost center guidelines, procedures, and policies
