Job description

Braun Intertecis seeking experienced Construction Materials Laboratory Technicians to join ourteam. This is a traveling position working on Data Centers, Commercial Warehouses and other remote projects.

We are searching for individuals who are looking for a traveling position and who are dependable, flexible and enjoy being a part of a team. This position will require working overtime/weekends and working (outdoors as needed) in varying weather conditions. This individual should have strong integrity and self-motivation and be able to perform routine laboratory testing and data entry of laboratory test results in order to verify conformance to construction plans, contract documents and project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and log concrete and soil samples along with additional testing as needed
  • Performs and understand various laboratory test procedures
  • Manage the Braun Quality system for the laboratory
  • Input and maintain laboratory test data in our LIMS lab management software.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition
  • Other miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assigned


Required Skills

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel extensively, will work at remote projects sites throughout the US
  • Willingness to work long hours and weekends as required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn how to use our laboratory management systems

Required Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • The ability to lift 50-75+ pound
  • Proficient at running proctors, Atterberg Limits, #200 Wash, and breaking concrete cylinders
  • ACI Strength Testing Technician is preferred
  • MoDOT or KDOT HMA, MoDOT, TxDOT or KDOT Soils certifications are also preferred
