Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The incumbent is directly responsible for all technical, administrative and supervisory functions in a major division of the lab; a highly specialized and technically complex laboratory unit or function; or a division with multiple shift operations. Position may have CLS Supervisor(s) reporting to it. Performs bench testing as needed.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

  • Three or more years applicable experience
  • Prior experience in supervision
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required
  • Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Current CA CLS License
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
