A Day in the Life:

In the position of QC Packaging Lab Manager, you will oversee the testing, evaluation, and validation of primary and secondary packaging while ensuring efficient daily lab operations. Provide leadership to lab technicians, supports their training and development, and maintains a safe, compliant, and audit-ready environment. Accountable for package integrity and stability testing, operational productivity, and adherence to established health, safety, and quality standards. Please note this position is onsite, Monday through Friday, based out of our Corona headquarters. 

The Impact You'll Make
  • Sample analysis for investigation, root cause analysis, reporting, and conclusion for claim support.
  • Responsible for scheduling, overseeing, and managing the Packaging Quality Lab Technicians.
  • Primary and secondary packaging testing for validation, evaluation, and/or qualification including routine raw material or finished beverage sampling analysis to identify trends our out of conformance trends.
  • Testing including but not limited to Dissolved Oxygen (DO)/ Total Package Oxygen (TPO), Double Seam analysis, Enamel and Lacquer distribution, Axial Load, Dome Growth, and Dome Reversal.
  • Develop Packaging Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and perform training. Calibrate all lab equipment.
  • Assist with special tasks and projects.
Who You Are
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering or related field of study
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in management in Packaging and/or Manufacturing
  • Additional Experience Desired: More than 5 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance preferred
  • Computer Skills Desired: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Smartsheet, and SharePoint
  • Preferred Certifications: Six Sigma Certification or Packaging Professional preferred
  • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Experience in package manufacturing laboratory preferred
