Job description

We are seeking Lab Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Durham, NC.

Job Summary:
Responsible for performing routine laboratory testing procedures to generate data used in clinical trials research. This role supports accurate specimen analysis, documentation, safety, quality, and compliance with SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluate the validity of analytical results against algorithms displayed by the laboratory computer system
  • Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate to senior laboratory personnel
  • Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis, as required
  • Conduct post-analysis sample and reagent storage
  • Assist in the development and writing of new laboratory procedures and techniques
  • Support lab housekeeping, safety, quality, and 6S requirements and initiatives
  • Communicate clearly, accurately, and on time with cross-functional stakeholders
What We Are Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree may be required for some CAP/CLIA lab locations in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology
  • 6 months relevant lab experience required
  • Basic knowledge of lab principles
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and applicable regulatory agency standards
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology used in the area of responsibility
  • Basic computer skills
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $35,900.00 - $74,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
