Job description

The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for front line sales and leasing opportunities in their specific product category. The goal of this position is to increase sales and leasing through complete emersion in all aspects of the specific product category market focusing on understanding customer needs, competition, manufacturer's, geographic landscape, market trends, and growth opportunities. Additionally, the Territory Sales Representative will build strong customer relationships, proactively identify potential new clients, oversee all production schedules of manufacturers in that specific product category, work diligently to resolve customer complaints and issues, and ensure Kraft maximizes market share to the long-term success of the sales and leasing department.

Position Responsibilities

  • Increase Kraft sales and market share in your specific product category.
  • Responsible for the complete equipment life cycles process to include lead generation, prospect qualification, presentations, quoting, CRM updating, and closing of sales.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market with strategic customers.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the specific sales products in your category (Product differences, advantages, disadvantages, etc.)
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the overall market in your product category with focus on the following:
    • Customers
    • Manufacturer's
    • Competitors
    • Geographic landscape
    • Market trends (Lead times, material pricing, etc.)
    • Trade associations
  • Identify and participate in product category specific trade shows and associations.
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with product manufacturers Kraft represents.
  • Share sales leads with internal departments to further assist customers and provide additional sales opportunities for Kraft.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with management to review sales goals, active deals, quote backlog, yearly forecasting, and areas of opportunity or development.
  • Proactively work to identify used equipment for trade-in or resale.
  • Work diligently with Sales and Leasing Coordinators to ensure we proactively manage all aspects of the sales process to exceed customer expectations and meet deliverables.
  • Communication skills must be exceptional with a focus on relationship building while also exhibiting professional verbal and written communication. Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and correct issues in the manner Kraft Tank requires.
  • Perform all work with a high level of safety in mind as it pertains to customers, co-workers, and personal safety while in a facility or when traveling.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as directed and required.
