Purpose of the job
Currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for an opportunity with a leader in custom contract manufacturing from single components and OEM parts and subassemblies to complete manufacturing and engineering capabilities and services. ACEMCO Incorporated is dedicated to meeting and exceeding our customersโ€™ needs. We are an IATF-16949 certified manufacturer of automotive metal stampings and welded assemblies.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Completes shipping inspections on incoming and outgoing products as needed.
  • Responsible for new launch activities.
    • APQP
    • PFMEA/Control Plan
    • Work instructions
    • Safe launch
  • Performs problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
    • Manage internal and external problem-solving activities
    • Lead problem-solving teams
    • Manage 8D responses to customer-specific response system (portal..)
    • Runs process audits as directed by the Quality Manager
      • LPA
  • Customer/supplier interface
  • Basic GD amp;T knowledge
  • Manage and provide directions to quality auditor/quality engineering tech staff
  • Back up to quality manager in their absence
  • Data collection and analysis relative to the quality function
  • Participates in internal and external quality audits.
  • Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
  • Supports Quality Manager as needed.
  • Create alerts and monitor production/product-specific actions to maintain and meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Performs Quality Department administrative duties.
  • Participates in internal and external quality audits.
  • Develop, implement, update, and maintain Quality Work Instructions, Forms amp; Procedures.
  • We are looking for an individual who has a detail-oriented work ethic and a positive attitude.
Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree in Engineering or related experience within a stamping facility a plus.
  • Dependable.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the manufacturing industry.
  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with control plans, flow charts,
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.
  • Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.
