Job description

Job Summary

Are you an interior designer with a passion for kitchen design? Then you may be exactly who we need to join our Kitchen Designer team! Applicants with a degree from an interior design program and an extensive portfolio is a plus. You should also be proficient in 20/20 software, with previous experience in kitchen-specific program or computer-aided design tool (AutoCAD). Ordering materials for projects created and working in the showroom is also a requirement. Familiarity with cabinet making and plumbing is also beneficial. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills, a creative eye, and can meet deadlines within a tight knit, family oriented work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to discuss their kitchen design goals
  • Draw up plans and mock-ups to show clients
  • Draft detailed blueprints for the construction team to follow
  • Oversee the remodeling process
  • Contact vendors to obtain specific materials and furniture

Requirements and Qualifications

  • An associate degree in interior design; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience as a design intern, design assistant, or interior designer
