Kinetic Ease PT is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our vibrant team in Bowie, Maryland. This full-time position involves providing hands-on care to patients in a home care setting, where you will play a crucial role in guiding clients on their journey to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. As part of our dedicated team, you will collaborate to deliver personalized rehabilitation services, focusing on achieving optimal outcomes for each individual.

Work Environment

The role is situated in an onsite home care environment where each therapist will work closely with clients in their own spaces. You will be a part of a small, collaborative team consisting of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The home care setting allows you to provide direct and personalized attention to each patient, ensuring that treatment plans cater specifically to their lifestyles and daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to understand their individual needs and recovery goals.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques to maximize mobility and functionality.
  • Provide direct care by performing manual therapy and rehabilitation exercises while monitoring patient progress.
  • Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring each receives high-quality, evidence-based treatment.
  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) software like WebPT to document patient interactions and track progress.
  • Foster strong relationships with patients, motivating them to actively participate in their recovery plans and inspire them to strive for their best physical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to provide a holistic approach to patient care, coordinating treatment with physicians and other specialists.
  • Analyze clinical outcomes and adjust treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical evidence.
  • Advise and educate patients on fitness and wellness regimens designed to promote long-term health and prevent injuries.
  • Participate in team meetings to ensure cohesive and high-quality patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on orthopedic outpatient care, serving a diverse demographic that includes young athletes, weekend warriors, and individuals recovering from surgeries or injuries. Our patients are motivated individuals who seek to regain their strength, mobility, and functionality. By supporting their physical therapy journeys in a personalized and empathetic manner, you will help them overcome physical challenges and achieve their health goals.

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state Physical Therapist License for Maryland without prior disciplinary actions.
  • Proficient in manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Experience using EMR software, preferably WebPT, for patient documentation and care tracking.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in orthopedic outpatient care is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
