Position Overview

Kinetic Ease PT is in search of an experienced and compassionate Senior Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in New Haven, Connecticut. This full-time role will require you to engage directly with patients, guiding them on their journey to recovery and enhancing their mobility and quality of life. You will be pivotal in helping patients regain motion and function, ensuring they achieve their personal rehabilitation goals.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our New Haven rehabilitation center, where you will collaborate with a close-knit team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Together, you will create a supportive and professional environment that prioritizes patient care and staff collaboration. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' physical needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Seen an average of 2-3 patients per hour, providing hands-on therapy and guidance.
• Employ effective manual therapy techniques to improve patients' mobility and daily functionality.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Contribute to the reduction of prescription medication reliance by exploring innovative non-surgical treatment options.
• Encourage patient involvement in their recovery by advocating for personal health and wellness regimens.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, for efficient patient documentation.

At Kinetic Ease PT, our clientele includes athletes and individuals seeking recovery from orthopedic injuries or conditions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients across various age groups, focusing on their unique challenges and goals to foster independence and improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory.
• Active Physical Therapist License in the state of Connecticut, free from any disciplinary action.
• Strong manual therapy skills are essential for effective patient treatment.
• Proficiency with EMR software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience in orthopedic outpatient care is required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate patients for successful outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
