Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) has revolutionized reading and the way authors of any level can engage the millions of readers that shop on Amazon. To further our goal of having "every book, ever written, in any language, available in 60 seconds or less," we're seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead author adoption efforts for key author-facing launches. This role will own the adoption segment of our Go-to-Market strategies, be accountable for adoption metrics and the full conversion funnel, design and run experiments, and build scalable processes that drive authors from awareness to active use. These efforts will support author success and increase selection for readers.
The successful candidate will combine product marketing expertise with a data-driven approach to understand the author response to new tools, and will translate those insights into targeted strategies that deliver results. This role will operate at the intersection of product, marketing, and customer success, working with a range of launch partners to influence roadmaps, execute campaigns, remove barriers to adoption, and measure and report on KPIs. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will be key to success. Our team culture is goal-oriented, collaborative, and driven to achieve results. We seek an individual who is motivated by a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment.

- Be accountable for adoption metrics across the conversion funnel: awareness, enrollment, first use, and sustained engagement
- Work with product and BI teams to define and measure success metrics; report results to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Identify author segments and develop targeted messaging that reflects each tool's value proposition to different author types
- Develop external-facing campaigns that educate and engage authors, communicating the value of new products and features
- Design and execute adoption experiments, measure performance, and determine which approaches to scale
- Leverage AI to streamline existing processes and develop new approaches that help the organization deliver more effectively
- Surface barriers to author adoption and work with launch partners to address them
- Engage directly with authors to gather feedback, develop messaging, and inform adoption strategies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
- Experience with A/B Testing or Multi-Variate Testing or both
- Knowledge of general AI tools
- Experience working with authors, publishers, or creators
