Job description

The J-Kids Associate supports the Mandel JCC Youth Programming team with the daily functions of the Kids Club Afterschool programming. This position may also assists with planning other children’s programs (Vacation Camps, Enrichment Classes, Kids Night Out, Snow Days etc.), staffing these programs as well as administrative duties.
Expectations of Employees:
  • Support the Mission of the Mandel JCC.
  • Ensure the highest quality of programs and services and possess a working knowledge of agency programs and services.
  • Represent the agency and provide the highest quality of customer service to the individuals and groups with whom you come into contact.
  • Treat fellow staff with respect.
  • Adhere to all policies and practices provided in the employee handbook.
  • Wear Mandel JCC Staff ID badge
Essential Functions:
  • Assist with creative and engaging programming for the Kids Club afterschool program.
  • Ensure safety of children and staff.
  • Supervise and engage with children on a daily basis.
  • Assist with planning or attending as requested Kids Night Out programs or vacation camps.
  • Participate in licensing and training requirements of the ODJFS including CPR/First Aid, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Must be available to work between the hours of 2:30 pm - 6 pm Monday - Friday plus special programming.
  • Two years of experience working with children and parents.
  • Must be organized and task-oriented and have the ability to follow through with all assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
PART TIME HOURS BASED ON REGISTRATION AND AVAILABILITY - ***RATE OF PAY $15.00 PER HOUR***
