Job description

OVERVIEW
The Bridge Church is a multisite church in Middle Tennessee that exists to be with Jesus and become like Him for the sake of the world. We are located in a growing community with a passion to reach our cities with the gospel.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Bridge Kids Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, onboard, and support volunteers, while building meaningful relationships that encourage and develop them. Oversee scheduling and systems (CCB), ensuring all volunteer roles are filled, organized, and communicated clearly each week. Help foster a healthy, leadership-driven culture by caring for volunteers, supporting Sunday operations, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the kids ministry team.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with the Bridge Kids Director to recruit, train, onboard and follow up with new volunteers.
  • Invest in current and potential volunteers by connecting over coffee and providing encouragement.
  • Take new volunteers through the onboarding process including background checks, shadowing, following up, scheduling, and training.
  • Manage CCB for all kids ministry areas and send out monthly and weekly scheduling requests and frequently update templates and teams.
  • Keep up with Open Slots volunteer sheet and frequently update kids team with rundown of available positions and who is joining the team
  • Schedule all volunteer positions for Sunday services and fill empty spots with substitutes when needed.
  • Float on a Sunday to check on areas, meet with new leaders, and care for volunteers.
  • Contribute to a healthy culture for kids ministry volunteers and empower volunteers to grow in leadership.
  • Other duties as needed for the Bridge Kids team.

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Monday with flexibility during the week HOURS: 20 hrs (available for events, church meetings, etc)
STAFF LEVEL: Coordinator, reports to Tristen Meza
