As a Transmission Key Accounts Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for ATCO Gas and Pipelines' largest transmission customers. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate operational activities, maintenance planning, projects, and outage management to support safe, reliable service delivery.

This role requires a strong combination of technical understanding, relationship management, and problem-solving skills. You will work across Operations, Engineering, Construction, Commercial, and Legal teams, as well as external pipeline operators, to represent customer requirements in planning and operational discussions while supporting the reliability and long-term success of the transmission system.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transmission customers, coordinating support across internal stakeholder groups and representing customer requirements in operational and planning discussions. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with ATCO Gas and Pipelines' largest and most complex transmission customers. 
  • Coordinate customer impacts associated with planned maintenance, outages, capital projects, and operational activities. 
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Construction, Commercial, Legal, and external pipeline operators to support safe and reliable service delivery. 
  • Support commercial discussions, customer agreements, and service requests through effective stakeholder coordination. 
  • Maintain customer information and activity records within Salesforce and utilize reporting tools to support business intelligence and performance measurement. 
  • Represent ATCO Gas and Pipelines at industry events, conferences, and customer engagement opportunities. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers by maintaining awareness of their operational plans, business objectives, growth initiatives, and emerging requirements. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and communication processes.
  • Support customers during emergency response situations and unplanned service disruptions, including after-hours coordination when required.
  • Stay informed of industry developments, market conditions, and customer priorities to support strategic planning and relationship management.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of related experience in the natural gas, energy, utilities, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of natural gas transmission system operations, maintenance planning, outage coordination, customer service, or account management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, navigate complex issues, and apply sound judgment in a dynamic operating environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess operational impacts, identify risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Construction, Commercial, Legal, customers, and external pipeline operators.
  • Experience in contract administration, commercial agreements, customer requests, project development, or regulatory processes is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations, maintenance practices, outage planning, and transportation arrangements is considered an asset.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce is an asset.
  • Experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other operational or asset management systems is an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Valid Class 5 Operator's License. Periodic travel within Alberta may be required.
